Boring Turret Shell
Boring Turret Shells come from a type of snail.  They are small shells that are very popular finds on our beaches!
A Conch is a shell that has a high spire and a noticeable siphonal canal.  It is one of the most sought after shells in our waters!  The one shown here is a Trapezium Horse Conch!

Junonia
Junonias are known as the "Pride of Sanibel".  While not rare in the water, the are rarely found on the beaches.  So much so, that if one is found, you will get your name and photo taken and put in the local Sanibel newspaper!
Whelks are relatively difficult finds in our waters, and are highly prized shells.  The whelks shown here are Lightning Whelks.
